An announcement —
Friends!!! I want to thank my #disabled, sick, Deaf, Blind, Neurodivergent & mad community for feeding me, for lifting me up when I’ve struggled. During COVID, it’s been artists & disabled trans queer BIPOC (& my dog) keeping me alive & this fellowship is no different.
Personal note: my ma’s last job was for Mellon bank on the graveyard shift. This is a full circle bittersweet moment.
I’m grateful to the advisors & marvelous panelists whose dynamic work nourishes us: @an.duplan@thequeerdoweirdo & @browngirlcurator for their incredible time and consideration.
Accessibility is essential to advancing social justice. I’m happy to announce that I was selected for the 2024 cohort of #DisabilityFutures Fellows! Excited to connect with @FordFoundation, @MellonFoundation and @UnitedStatesArtists community of artists who are reimagining the future of arts to shed a greater spotlight on disabled creatives worldwide. fordf.org/DisabilityFutures
